"The Papua New Guinea Education Transformation Vision 2075 (PNGETV 2075) is a 50-year (2025-2075) strategic plan that charts a roadmap for the general education sector in Papua New Guinea."
The PNGETV 2075 is about reforming the general education system in the country by overhauling and reconstructing what does not work and maintaining what works so that by 2075, no child will be left behind.
This plan will be implemented in cycles through continuous planning, management, implementation, and evaluation of important short-term strategies and plans such as the MTDP IV, sector and agency plans, provincial plans, district plans, LLG plans, and ward plans. The PNGETV 2075 highlights prevailing and/or perennial challenges and propose policy options that the Education Department and its partners at the national and sub-national levels could employ to address these challenges.
The PNGETV 2075 complements the National Goals and Directive Principle number 1 of the National Constitution on Integral Human Development; PNG Vision 2050, especially Pillar number 1 on Human Capital Development, Gender, Youth and People Empowerment; and MTDP IV Strategic Priority Area (SPA) number 4 on Quality Education and Skilled Human Capital.
This Vision identifies seven key focus areas (KFAs) that are central to the functioning of the general education system in the country.

The seven key focus areas are:

1. Curriculum – Subjects or programs taught or graded in an educational institution, which contains knowledge, skills and values needed to develop the intellectual and moral capacities of a person.
2. School System Structure – A structure or framework that facilitates progressive learning to take place through successive levels or phases of education.
3. Teacher Education, Training and Development – Training and development of a teacher and equipping him/her with the appropriate tools, skills and knowledge, which he/she can then use to effectively teach or impart knowledge, skills, ethics, morals, and values to the students.
4. Digitalisation – conversion of different information into digital language that facilitates teachers and students teaching and learning processes.
5. Infrastructure and Inclusive Learner-Friendly Environments – Educational infrastructure or physical and administrative facilities like classrooms and administrative oversights that provide an inclusive and learner- friendly environment for the diverse needs of students in a school.
6. Governance, Leadership and Management – The school leadership (including the School Administration and Board of Management) that provides the overall oversight of the administration and functioning of a school.
7. Education Service Delivery System – A distribution or delivery system that facilitates the procurement and supply of goods and services to schools.
