Elementary Education

The number of elementary school increase from 2007 to 2009 and dropped in 2010 and further dropped to 271 schools and a major increase in number of elementary schools in 2012 with 223 schools.

Primary Education

The number of primary schools been built in permanent materials varied over the years, from 2007 to 2008, there was a decline in the number of primary school classrooms built in permanent materials and the numbers remained constant in 2009 and then increased to 223 in 2010 and a major increase in 2012 with 368 classrooms built in permanent materials. These increases are not adequate to accommodate the increases in the enrolments of elementary pupils.
